Shae'

Shannon N. Taylor, known to many as Shae’, considers

herself a non-traditional student. In May 2021, some 20 years

after her high school graduation, Shae’ received her bachelor’s

degree from Rutgers School of Social Work. In addition to

graduating with Latin Honors, Shae’ was also recognized for

her contributions to her community by Rutgers Civic

Association. In 2022, Shae’ earned yet another degree from

Rutgers after completing the advanced standing MSW

program and obtaining her ChAP certification. It was this

Social Work Convocation that brought Shae’ her greatest joy

as she marched with fellow social worker and beautiful

daughter, Shay’Nell. While pursuing her MSW, Shae’ served

as treasurer for Phi Alpha Nu Omicron. Shae’ is the mother

of 10 children and says her children both motivated and

supported her academic progress/success. Shae’ is committed

to helping others and is in the process of establishing her own

nonprofit organization in the city of Camden.
