Abstract

This article dissects the severe disruptions in international shipping and logistics during the pandemic and how overreliance on Chinese manufacturing worsened the crisis.

Author Biography

Jonathan Lepselter

Jonathan Lepselter graduated magna cum laude from the
Rutgers Online BBA program in August 2022. This article is
his first published piece of research. Jonathan drew
inspiration from his international business courses, which he
took during the supply chain issues of 2020, making for a
compelling learning experience. He hopes his research sheds
light on the economic impacts those issues had on consumers
during that time.
